Unfiltered, Untouched, Unmatched

At Whipped Creamery Honey, every jar of raw honey is a pure reflection of nature. Harvested, extracted, and jarred straight from the hive, our honey is never heated or filtered, preserving bits of beeswax, pollen, and other natural elements that enhance its flavor and nutritional value.

Our raw honey comes in six distinct flavor profiles, thanks to the careful selection of the flowers our bees pollinate. From wildflower and blueberry to classic clover and Texas local wildflower, each jar offers a unique taste of nature. Depending on the season and the plants in bloom, our bees create a variety of flavors, allowing us to offer honey that is as flavorful as it is unique.

The Honey Production Process at Whipped Creamery Honey

At Whipped Creamery Honey, our mission is to bring you the purest form of raw honey, allowing you to experience this natural sweetener in its most authentic state. But how do we keep honey raw while extracting it? Let us take you through our honey production process, so you can understand what makes our honey so special.

It All Begins with the Bees

The journey of creating raw honey starts with our bees. We maintain our colonies year-round, ensuring they are strong, healthy, and ready to thrive when the short honey-making season arrives. Our bees do what they do best—collect nectar, often flying up to 5 miles to find a strong nectar source. Once back at the hive, they deposit the nectar into the combs.

Throughout the night, the bees fan the nectar to reduce its moisture, transforming it into honey. Once ready, they seal it with a delicate layer of beeswax. A typical hive produces more honey than needed for winter, so we carefully remove this excess, bringing it back to the farm.

From Hive to Jar: Our Extraction Process

Our honeycombs are built by the bees on removable wooden frames. We begin by gently removing the wax capping from these frames before placing them directly into a centrifuge. The centrifuge spins the frames, extracting all the honey and beeswax capping from the combs, which are collected below.

Next, we use a wax spinner to remove larger pieces of beeswax, insect parts, and other hive debris. However, we don’t filter the honey any further, preserving its raw nature. We also avoid heating the honey, as this would destroy the yeast cells, pollen, and enzymes that give raw honey its unique benefits. This careful method of extracting and handling honey without heat is known as cold packing.

Packaging the Purest Honey

Once the honey leaves the spinner, it flows into a holding tank, where we carefully package it, completing the honey extraction and bottling process. While our simplified approach might not earn us the highest grades in honey competitions, that’s not our goal. We focus on offering a product that brings you the best raw honey possible honey that’s as close to the hive as you can get without being in the bee yard yourself.

At Whipped Creamery Honey, we hold ourselves to the highest standards, ensuring that both our bees and our customers stay healthy throughout our process. Safety and quality come first in everything we do.
